The New England Patriots released a projected 53-man roster for the 2026 season, outlining expected starters, depth players and practice-squad candidates across all positions as camp opens on Saturday.

The New England Patriots will begin their 2026 training camp on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, with a projected 53-man roster released ahead of the first practice. The team currently has 92 players under contract and must trim the roster to the league-mandated limit.

Quarterback depth is expected to feature Drake Maye as the starter, with veteran Tommy DeVito as the primary backup. Rookie seventh-round pick Behren Morton is projected to start on the practice squad.

Running backs Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson and rookie Jam Miller are slated to make the active roster, while other backs compete for a fourth spot.

Fullback Reggie Gilliam, signed to a three-year contract, is projected to start, with Jack Westover likely serving as a backup or practice-squad player.

At tight end, veteran Hunter Henry returns, joined by rookie Eli Raridon and C.J. Dippre, who is on the PUP list. Julian Hill, placed on injured reserve, will miss the season.

The wide-receiver group includes A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins and DeMario Douglas, with several others vying for the remaining spots.

Offensive tackle projections list Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Caleb Lomu and James Hudson III as the primary options, while interior line depth features Alijah Vera-Tucker, Jared Wilson, Mike Onwenu, Ben Brown, Andrew Rupcich and Caedan Wallace.

On defense, the projected defensive-tackle rotation includes Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Cory Durden, Joshua Farmer and Leonard Taylor III. Edge rusher depth features Dre’Mont Jones, Harold Landry (returning from injury), Gabe Jacas, Elijah Ponder and Bradyn Swinson.

Linebacker selections list Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, K.J. Britt, Namdi Obiazor and Chad Muma. Cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Carlton Davis III, Charles Woods and Kindle Vildor round out the secondary, with several younger players competing for backup roles.

Safety positions are filled by Kevin Byard, Craig Woodson, Mike Brown, Dell Pettus and Brenden Schooler. Special-teams personnel include kicker Andy Borregales, punter Bryce Baringer and long snapper Julian Ashby.

The Patriots expect competition at every position as they finalize the roster before the regular season.
