Kim Scott arrested after police say she resisted officers following suicide attempt
Police in Michigan say Kim Scott, the ex-wife of rapper Eminem, became combative and allegedly assaulted an officer during a response to a reported suicide attempt, leading to her arrest.
Police responded to a call about a suicide attempt at a residence in Chesterfield, Michigan, on July 11. Officers found Kim Scott, the former spouse of rapper Eminem, in the basement wearing only a bra and underwear. According to police statements, she resisted being handcuffed, allegedly bit an officer's forearm, and kicked another officer in the shin, prompting the use of a Taser.
During the transport to an ambulance, Scott reportedly shouted profanity at first responders and directed insults toward a man present in the home. An officer displayed a bite mark on his forearm, which was later photographed for evidence, and the officer was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Scott was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The incident was captured on police body-camera footage obtained by media outlets.
