Ed Harris says he was misled about role on Yellowstone spinoff

Actor Ed Harris told Variety that he felt "underused" in his role as Everett McKinney on the Yellowstone spinoff, describing the part as "inconsequential" and saying he asked to be removed midway through filming the first season. > "I felt a little bit misled," Harris said at the series premiere in Los Angeles, adding that he had been led to believe he would be one of four main characters. He said a promised singing scene was cut, which he described as a key factor in his decision to void his contract. Harris noted that while his character became "relatively important to the story" in the first season, it did not feel that way during production. He remains contracted for a second season, which is slated to begin filming next year, and said he has been told his role will have more material.
