Линда Носкова secured her first Grand Slam victory at Wimbledon on Saturday, overcoming Karolína Muchová in a three-set final, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. The 21-year-old Czech began strongly, winning the opening set without facing a break point, but Muchová rallied to take the second set after saving multiple championship points. Nosková regained composure in the third set, breaking early and holding serve to close out the match.
The win makes Nosková the third Czech woman to win Wimbledon in the past four years, following Markéta Vondroušová and Barbora Krejčíková, and extends the tournament’s streak of nine consecutive first-time women’s champions. Her ranking rose from world No. 12 to No. 7, while Muchová moved to No. 6.
"I’m very happy to win this title and to share it with my family," Nosková said in the post-match interview.
The match featured several dramatic moments, including five championship points saved by Muchová before Nosková ultimately prevailed. Both players displayed resilience, with Nosková’s serve remaining a key factor throughout the contest.
