A subsequent Southwest Airlines flight received a warning from controllers about the ongoing situation, to which the crew replied with a brief acknowledgment. City officials were alerted to the potential hazard posed by fireworks to arriving and departing aircraft, and discussions about police involvement were noted in the audio.
