Rockstar Announces GTA 6 Pricing and Single-Player Launch Details

Summary

Rockstar Games revealed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch as a single-player title on November 19, priced at $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for an ultimate edition, with pre-orders starting June 25.

Rockstar Games disclosed the pricing and launch format for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of pre-order availability. The standard edition will sell for $79.99, while an "ultimate" edition will cost $99.99 and include additional premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and other in-game items.

The company said the game will launch as a single-player experience set in a new iteration of the series, without mentioning multiplayer features at release. "GTA 6" is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-orders opening on June 25 at midnight local time through major digital storefronts and retailers.

Customers who pre-order digitally can begin downloading the game on November 12, and physical copies will also contain a download code to facilitate pre-loading due to the game's large file size.

The official description places the story in Vice City, following characters Jason and Lucia as they become entangled in a statewide conspiracy. The game has not yet received a rating.

Rockstar added that all pre-orders placed before November 20 will include a "Vintage Vice City Pack" of in-game items and a free month of GTA+ for digital orders, which the company describes as a way to access the evolving GTA Online world.
