Summary

Rockstar Games released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, confirming a November 19, 2026 release and detailing standard and Ultimate edition pricing.

Rockstar Games released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, confirming a worldwide release scheduled for November 19, 2026. The trailer, captured on a PlayStation 5, introduces the game's protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and hints at a storyline involving a criminal conspiracy across the fictional state of Leonida.

"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive," the official game synopsis from Rockstar said.

Rockstar indicated that development of the title spanned eight years and cost between $1 billion and $1.5 billion. The game will be available only as a digital download, with pre-loading beginning on November 12. Two editions will be sold: a standard version priced at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition priced at $99.99, which includes additional vehicles, weapons, apparel and story-related content.

The launch trailer features a mix of action sequences, music tracks from artists such as Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and sets the tone for the upcoming open-world experience.
