ASUS ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds See Price Leak From Official Partner
Pricing details for ASUS's upcoming ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld gaming devices have surfaced via a Spanish retailer, suggesting significant price increases and upgraded hardware for the new models.
ASUS's forthcoming ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld gaming devices may be priced higher than previous models, according to a recent leak from Spanish retailer MacMan, an official ASUS partner. The listings, which have since been removed, indicated the ROG Xbox Ally Z2 A could retail for €599 (approximately $699 USD), while the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X Z2 Extreme was listed at €899 (about $1,050 USD).
The new devices are expected to launch during the 2025 holiday season, though ASUS has not confirmed an exact release date or official pricing. Both models will feature upgraded AMD Z2 processors, with the flagship Ally X model offering the Z2 Extreme chip, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. The standard Ally will include the Z2 A processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Both handhelds will run Windows 11 Home and feature 7-inch FHD displays with 120Hz refresh rates and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The leaked prices represent a notable increase over the launch prices of the current ROG Ally lineup, which started at $699 and $799 for the Z1 Extreme models. The upgrades are expected to position the new devices among the most powerful handheld gaming PCs on the market, potentially surpassing competitors like Valve's Steam Deck and MSI's Claw A8.
