The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at $600, while the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X will retail for $1,000. Pre-orders for both models are now open through the Xbox website, ASUS' official site, and major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart.

The ROG Xbox Ally is designed to cater to a broad range of gamers, from casual players to enthusiasts. It features an AMD Ryzen Z2 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 60Wh battery. The device runs on Windows 11 and offers a 7-inch 1080p IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth visuals. Users can access games from various platforms, including Xbox Game Pass, Steam, and Epic Games Store, and can stream Xbox games from their console or via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The ROG Xbox Ally X is tailored for more demanding players, boasting an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an 80Wh battery. It shares the same display specifications as the standard model but includes additional features such as AI-powered capabilities like Automatic Super Resolution and highlight reels, set to be introduced in early 2026.

Both devices will be available in multiple countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom, with plans for expansion into additional markets in the future. Accessories like a SanDisk microSD card designed specifically for the handhelds and a SeaGate SSD supporting Microsoft DirectStorage are also available for pre-order.

At launch, Xbox will label thousands of games as 'Handheld Optimized' or 'Mostly Compatible' to indicate their performance on these devices. The ROG Xbox Ally series aims to provide a versatile gaming experience, allowing users to play a wide array of games across different platforms and services.
