Diablo IV's 'Lord of Hatred' Expansion Enhances Gameplay with New Classes and Features
The 'Lord of Hatred' expansion for Diablo IV introduces new classes, regions, and endgame systems, enriching the action RPG experience.
Blizzard Entertainment's upcoming expansion for Diablo IV, titled 'Lord of Hatred,' is set to release on April 28, 2026. This expansion continues the Age of Hatred saga, bringing players to the Skovos region to confront Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred.
The expansion introduces two new playable classes: the Paladin and the Warlock. The Paladin, a holy warrior specializing in heavy melee combat and support abilities, is available immediately to players who pre-purchase the expansion. The Warlock class will be accessible upon the expansion's release.
In addition to new classes, 'Lord of Hatred' features an overhauled endgame system. Players can craft 'War Plans' to create personalized endgame progression paths, engaging in activities like Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides with increased rewards. The expansion also introduces 'Echoing Hatred,' a challenge where players face unending waves of demonic hordes.
The Skovos region offers a Mediterranean-inspired environment with new side quests, dungeons, and a fishing minigame. The expansion raises the level cap to 70 and adds more Torment Tiers, providing additional challenges and replayability.
'Lord of Hatred' aims to enhance the Diablo IV experience with new content and systems, offering players fresh challenges and opportunities for character development.
