Google Releases Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2 for Pixel Devices
Google has rolled out Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2, introducing bug fixes and performance enhancements for supported Pixel devices.
Google has released Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2 for its supported Pixel devices, including phones, tablets, and foldables. This update follows the stable release of Android 16 QPR2 in December and is now available for beta testers.
The supported devices for this beta program encompass a range of Pixel models, from the Pixel 6 series to the latest Pixel 10 series, as well as the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
The update, identified by builds CP11.251209.007.A1 and CP11.251209.007, includes a security patch level dated January 5, 2026, and updates Google Play services to version 25.47.33.
Among the improvements, Google has addressed at least 12 issues reported by testers. Notable fixes include resolving an unresponsive app drawer during scrolling, correcting excessive battery drain occurring overnight, and improving audio routing logic to eliminate delays when switching to speakerphone during calls.
To install the update, users can navigate to Settings > System > Software updates on their devices. Those not yet enrolled in the Android Beta program can do so to receive this and future beta updates.
For developers and advanced users, manual installation options are available through OTA files and factory images provided by Google.
