Authorities are searching for 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos, who disappeared from her San Antonio home on December 24 and is considered to be in imminent danger.

Surveillance footage from that morning shows a person believed to be Mendoza Olmos searching her vehicle around 7:00 a.m. before leaving on foot. Her car remained at the residence, and she is thought to have taken only her car keys and possibly her driver's license. Her last known location was the 11000 block of Caspian Spring in northwest Bexar County.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that multiple agencies, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, are involved in the search. "We definitely don't want to miss anything," Salazar said. "The ground search is somewhat limited to a couple of square miles. We're also not ruling out that this case may take us outside the borders of the continental United States."

Investigators are considering various scenarios, including kidnapping, human trafficking, or the possibility that Mendoza Olmos left voluntarily. Salazar noted that she recently experienced a mutual breakup and that all close contacts are cooperating with authorities.

Mendoza Olmos was last seen wearing a baby-blue and black hoodie, baby-blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes. Her mother reported that she typically takes morning walks but became concerned when she did not return within a reasonable time.

Salazar confirmed that Mendoza Olmos, a U.S. citizen, has not been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "That was a personal concern. So, I had it checked to make sure that there were no stops, no detentions, and that she's not somewhere in a federal detention facility. That is something we needed to check," he said.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Mendoza Olmos's whereabouts to contact the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at (210) 335-6000 or the BCSO Missing Persons Unit via [email protected].
