Brian Walshe Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charges in Wife's Disappearance Case
Brian Walshe has pleaded guilty to charges of misleading police and improper conveyance of a human body in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe, while maintaining his not guilty plea to the murder charge.
Brian Walshe, 50, has pleaded guilty to charges of misleading police and improper conveyance of a human body in connection with the disappearance of his wife, Ana Walshe. He continues to plead not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder.
Ana Walshe, 39, was reported missing on January 4, 2023, after failing to show up for work. Her husband initially told investigators she had left their Cohasset, Massachusetts, home on New Year's Day for a work trip to Washington, D.C., but there was no evidence she boarded a flight. Authorities later found blood and a broken knife in the couple's basement.
Prosecutors allege that Brian Walshe conducted internet searches related to body disposal and purchased cleaning supplies shortly after his wife's disappearance. He was arrested on January 8, 2023, for misleading investigators and subsequently charged with her murder.
In a separate federal case, Walshe pleaded guilty to charges connected to selling forged Andy Warhol artwork and is serving a 37-month prison sentence.
Ana Walshe's body has not been found. Brian Walshe's trial for the murder charge is scheduled to begin on October 20, 2025.
