Elon Musk Cancels Netflix Subscription Amid 'Dead End: Paranormal Park' Controversy
Elon Musk has canceled his Netflix subscription following controversy over the animated series 'Dead End: Paranormal Park' and its creator's remarks about Charlie Kirk.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced he has canceled his Netflix subscription, urging others to do the same, following controversy surrounding the animated series 'Dead End: Paranormal Park.' The show, which features a transgender protagonist, has been criticized by some online accounts for promoting transgender themes to children.
Musk's decision comes after the show's creator, Hamish Steele, allegedly made derogatory remarks about conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot on September 10, 2025. Screenshots circulating online appear to show Steele referring to Kirk as a 'Nazi.'
In response to the backlash, Steele stated, 'My Instagram comments are now flooded with replies saying I AM CHARLIE KIRK and that I celebrated his death (which I never did).'
'Dead End: Paranormal Park' premiered on Netflix in 2022 and was canceled in 2023 after two seasons. Despite its cancellation, the series remains available on the platform and has recently been promoted in the 'Netflix Kids' section, drawing renewed criticism.
Following Musk's announcement, some users on X (formerly Twitter) have reported canceling their Netflix subscriptions, sharing screenshots of their cancellation confirmations.
Netflix has not publicly responded to the controversy at this time.
