Meta's Ray-Ban Display glasses, the company's first smart eyewear with an in-lens display, are now available for purchase in select U.S. stores. Priced at $799, the package includes the glasses and the Meta Neural Band, a wrist-worn controller that interprets subtle hand gestures for device interaction.
The glasses are available at Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban stores, and the Meta Lab. While Meta encourages customers to book a demo before purchasing, a demo is not mandatory. However, the demo helps determine the appropriate size for the Meta Neural Band, which comes in three sizes.
The Ray-Ban Display glasses come in two colors—glossy Black and matte Sand—and two sizes: Standard and Large. All models feature Transitions lenses, adapting to various lighting conditions for both indoor and outdoor use. Prescription lenses are supported within a range of -4 to +4.
Key features of the glasses include:
Meta AI with Visuals: The integrated AI can display answers and step-by-step instructions directly in the user's field of vision.
Messaging & Video Calling: Users can view and respond to messages from platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram, and conduct live video calls hands-free.
Preview & Zoom: A real-time camera viewfinder and zoom functionality assist in capturing and sharing photos and videos.
Pedestrian Navigation: Turn-by-turn walking directions are displayed, with beta availability in select cities.
Live Captions & Translation: The glasses can display live captions for speech and translate select languages in real-time.
Music Playback: Users can control music playback and adjust volume using hand gestures detected by the Neural Band.
The glasses weigh 69 grams and offer approximately six hours of battery life under normal use. A software update scheduled for December will enable text input by swiping letters with the index finger on a physical surface.
Meta plans to expand availability to the UK, Canada, France, and Italy in early 2026.
