Jay-Z confirmed as halftime performer for 2027 Super Bowl
The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced that Jay-Z will headline the halftime show at the Feb. 14 Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The National Football League, Apple Music and Roc Nation said on Monday that rapper Jay-Z will be the featured performer for the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement follows weeks of speculation after Jay-Z closed his "Jay-Z 30" concert series in Southern California, a tour that began at Yankee Stadium, continued in London and concluded with three shows at the SoFi venue.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has partnered with the league since 2019 to advise on and help produce its entertainment presentations, including previous halftime shows. At that time, Jay-Z told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, "If this is about me performing at the Super Bowl, then we can just end this conversation now," to which Goodell replied that he would welcome Jay-Z on stage "whenever the moment felt right to him."
In a statement, Jay-Z said, "> From 'Reasonable Doubt' to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true."
The halftime show will be executive produced by Roc Nation and directed by Hamish Hamilton. Jay-Z, who has earned 25 Grammy Awards and 89 nominations, is also the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (2017) and a 2021 inductee of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
