Brewers and Rays roster rankings ahead of World Series showdown

Résumé

Analyst Jacob Misiorowski tops the list of 52 expected World Series participants, with the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays each fielding a deep talent pool as No. 1 seeds.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays entered the World Series as the top teams from their leagues, and their postseason rosters reflect that depth. An analyst ranked all 52 expected participants, highlighting Jacob Misiorowski (Brewers) as the premier starter, noting his fastball averages 100.6 mph and his cutter reaches the mid-90s. Junior Caminero (Rays) was placed second, citing his high home-run totals over the past two seasons.

The ranking also featured Drew Rasmussen (Rays) as a strong pitcher with four above-average offerings, and Brewers players Brice Turang, Jackson Chourio, William Contreras and Garrett Mitchell among the top position players. The list continued through the bullpen, noting Trevor Megill’s curveball as the series’ best breaking pitch and Tyler Wells’s changeup as the most effective.

Superlatives for the series were assigned, with Misiorowski projected to throw the fastest pitch, Caminero expected to hit the hardest ball, and Chandler Simpson (Rays) slated to record the highest sprint speed. The analyst also identified Turang as the best defender.

"Misiorowski could appear three times in the Series and is my pick to win MVP," the analyst wrote.

"Caminero is an electric factory at the plate due to both incredible bat speed and a tendency to chase out of the zone," the analyst added.

The rankings provide a snapshot of the talent each club brings to baseball’s championship stage.
