Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber comment on son Presley Gerber's death
Supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber issued a statement mourning their son Presley Gerber, who died at 27 in a rehab facility, and asked for privacy for the family.
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber released a joint statement on Sunday after their 27-year-old son Presley Gerber died at an undisclosed rehabilitation center on Sept. 20. The family said they are "beyond heartbroken" and expressed gratitude for the support they have received from friends, family and strangers.
Presley, who was survived by his sister, model Kaia Gerber, his mother and father, had spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction and mental health. In a 2023 podcast appearance he described dealing with depression and ongoing therapy, and in 2024 he posted on Instagram about a high opioid addiction. Earlier this year he wrote that he was trying to return to treatment.
Kaia Gerber, who praised her brother for his openness, said in an August 2026 interview that his honesty helped her confront her own reluctance to seek help. Following the news of his death, the family asked for privacy during this difficult period.
