Recommended accessories for the upcoming iPhone Duo foldable phone
A list of suggested accessories—including a USB-C Apple Pencil, fast-charging adapters, a MagSafe car mount, cases, and HomeKit cameras—has been compiled for Apple’s forthcoming iPhone Duo.
Apple’s upcoming iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable iPhone, will support the USB-C Apple Pencil after a software update later this year. The Pencil will work on both the outer and inner displays, and Apple notes that only the USB-C version is compatible.
The device will also feature fast charging capable of reaching 50 percent battery in about 20 minutes, but achieving the highest speed requires a suitable power adapter. Apple offers a 40-W Dynamic Power Adapter with a 60-W maximum output, while third-party options such as Anker’s 100-W USB-C charger are also recommended.
For drivers, ESR’s MagSafe Car Mount is suggested, providing magnetic attachment to a vehicle’s air-vent and allowing use of CarPlay alongside the iPhone Duo’s larger screen.
Although Apple has not yet released its own $129 iPhone Duo Folio with kickstand, several third-party cases are available, including the SPIDERCASE Magnetic Case with a built-in stand and screen protector and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Pro, a clear MagSafe-compatible case.
The iPhone Duo will expand the StandBy feature to show Home Camera and Home Modular views, enabling quick access to smart-home devices. Compatible HomeKit cameras recommended include the Aqara G100 2K security camera and the eufy 4K security camera.
