Eagles Put Guard Landon Dickerson on Injured Reserve and Promote Britain Covey

Résumé

Philadelphia placed left guard Landon Dickerson on IR due to a knee bone bruise and elevated return specialist Britain Covey to the active roster, while adding tight end Josiah Deguara to the practice squad.

Philadelphia placed starting left guard Landon Dickerson on injured reserve on Tuesday after a bone bruise was diagnosed in his right knee. The 27-year-old will miss at least four games while he recovers.

With Dickerson unavailable, the team expects interior backup Drew Kendall, a second-year fifth-round pick who was the primary iOL reserve during training camp, to start against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Willie Lampkin is also listed as a backup.

The Eagles also promoted wide receiver and returner Britain Covey from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Covey, who handled punt returns in the season opener against Washington, recorded four returns for 37 yards, including a 15-yard long.

To fill the vacancy on the practice squad, Philadelphia signed tight end Josiah Deguara. The 29-year-old, a former third-round pick of Green Bay, has appeared in 77 NFL games with 12 starts and posted 53 receptions for 471 yards over his career. Deguara spent the 2024 season with Jacksonville and the 2025 season with Arizona, giving him familiarity with a similar offensive system.

The moves leave one spot still open on the Eagles’ 53-man roster.
