Leak Suggests Pixel 10 Series to Feature Magnetic Qi2 Charging
A recent leak indicates that Google's upcoming Pixel 10 smartphones may include built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging, ahead of the official launch event in August.
Newly surfaced renders and details about Google's Pixel 10 series suggest that the upcoming smartphones could feature magnetic Qi2 wireless charging. The leak, shared by Evan Blass on social media, includes images of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, as well as related accessories such as the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds Pro 2.
One of the renders reportedly shows a Pixel 10 device without a case, with a Qi2 charger attached directly to its back. This depiction indicates that the phone may have built-in magnets to support the Qi2 charging standard, a feature that has been the subject of recent speculation. Previous reports had raised doubts about whether magnets would be integrated into the phones themselves or only in their cases.
The leak also highlights new color options for the devices and accessories, including Moonstone and Iris for the phones, and Obsidian for the Pixel Watch 4. Google's official unveiling of the Pixel 10 series is scheduled for August 20, with shipments expected to begin on August 28.
