IRS releases inflation-adjusted 2027 tax brackets and higher deductions
The Internal Revenue Service released the 2027 federal income tax brackets, raising income thresholds and standard deductions to reflect inflation, the agency said in Washington, D. C.
Earlier, the agency announced that the brackets were inflation-adjusted and that the standard deduction would increase, along with a higher child tax credit and larger gift-tax exclusions for 2027. It also said the income thresholds for the 0%, 15% and 20% long-term capital gains rates would be raised.
