Joe Milton to start for Eagles against Giants in Week 9
The Philadelphia Eagles promoted rookie quarterback Joe Milton to the starting role for their game against the New York Giants, replacing Tanner McKee after Jalen Hurts was sidelined, NBC Sports reported. Milton's appointment marked the team's third quarterback starter of the season.
Earlier, ESPN noted the change came after McKee's replacement, and NBC Sports said coach Nick Sirianni made the decision following three straight losses with McKee under center. Injury concerns had also limited other starters, as reported by NBC Sports Philadelphia.
