Country trio member Nicole Taylor dies at 35 after battle with breast cancer

Resumen

Nicole Taylor, a member of the country group Taylor Red, died at age 35 following a four-year fight with breast cancer, her sisters announced.

Nicole Taylor, 35, a vocalist in the country music trio Taylor Red, died on Sept. 28 after a four-year battle with breast cancer, her sisters and bandmates said in a social media post. The identical triplets, originally from Mississippi, formed the group in 2010 as Red Roots before rebranding as Taylor Red and relocating to Nashville. Their 2021 single “Country Money” went viral, raising their profile.

“We are shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister,” Nika Taylor and Natalie Taylor wrote. “She’s at peace and no longer suffering, so we’re thankful for that.”

Natalie Taylor later recounted in a video that Nicole received her cancer diagnosis after a nurse called with biopsy results, describing the moment as “utter shock.” Nika Taylor added that the treatment process for cancer patients involves numerous MRIs, scans, and appointments, which can be very stressful. The sisters said Nicole’s illness progressed to stage 4 before she passed, and that a private funeral was held.

“Nicole told us soon before she passed that she had peace, and we are really thankful for that,” Natalie Taylor said.
