Wil Wheaton Rebukes Stephen Miller Over Patrick Stewart Tribute

Résumé

Actor Wil Wheaton criticized White House policy aide Stephen Miller after the latter posted a tribute to the late Sir Patrick Stewart, using strong language on social media.

Actor Wil Wheaton responded sharply to a social-media post by White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller that praised the late Sir Patrick Stewart. Miller had written that Stewart was "one of the most impactful actors in the history of film, television and theater" following Stewart’s death at age 86 after battling Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia.

Wheaton, who acted alongside Stewart on Star Trek: The Next Generation, posted on Threads, "Stephen Miller, on behalf of Star Trek, and everyone who knew and loved him, keep my Captain's name out of your f-king Nazi mouth. He despised you, and everything you stand for."

The White House did not immediately comment on the exchange. Other former Star Trek cast members also shared brief tributes, and Stewart’s official Instagram account announced his passing, noting his work on Star Trek and the X-Men franchise.
