Wild pursue Dylan Larkin trade as Red Wings demand high return
Daily Faceoff reported that the Minnesota Wild are seeking a trade for former Detroit captain Dylan Larkin, with Red Wings interim general manager Shawn Horcoff saying the club will hold out for a substantial return and the Philadelphia Flyers could serve as a third-party facilitator. Horcoff had earlier told NHL. com that Detroit would wait for a deal that yields fair value for Larkin, noting his no-trade clause limits destinations.
The Detroit News said the team suspended Larkin without pay after he refused to play. The center was held out of the lineup for the October 27 game against the Chicago Blackhawks, a decision first reported by NHL. com and later confirmed by ESPN as part of ongoing trade negotiations.
