Target and Best Buy announce November restocks of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 bundle

Résumé

Target will receive the Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 console on November 5 in stores and November 6 online, while Best Buy will offer the bundle at its midnight launch on November 5.

Target and Best Buy said they will receive new shipments of the Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 console in early November. Target plans to stock the console in its stores on November 5 and make it available online on November 6, though it did not disclose the quantity of units. Best Buy will sell the console, along with the Zelda-themed Switch 2 Pro Controller, during its midnight launch event on November 5 at selected locations.

The restocks coincide with Nintendo’s upcoming release of a Switch 2 exclusive remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, scheduled for later in the month. The remake will feature updated graphics, new movement mechanics, and added features such as a “Threads of Time” progress tracker and compatibility with Zelda Notes.

Other retailers, including Walmart, Amazon and the Nintendo Store, have not announced restock dates. Walmart previously cancelled several pre-orders for the Zelda bundle and offered affected customers a $519 digital gift card as compensation.

Nintendo’s Latin America vice president and general manager, Bill van Zyll, said the company had underestimated the demand for the anniversary console and is working to replenish inventory.
