Taylor Swift swaps bridal heels for sneakers during reception at Madison Square Garden wedding

Résumé

Taylor Swift changed into sneakers for part of her reception after marrying Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, where the ceremony featured a custom Dior gown and a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler.

Taylor Swift changed outfits between the ceremony and reception at her wedding to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, slipping into sneakers for part of the evening, a source told Page Six. The couple exchanged vows on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Swift wore a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson for the ceremony, paired with personalized Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. After the ceremony, she changed dresses and wore sneakers while keeping her hair down.

The event, attended by more than 1,000 guests including family, friends, teammates and other celebrities, featured a castle-style backdrop, multiple rooms with games and prizes, and carnival-style entertainment. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, with Swift’s brother Austin serving as man of honor and Kelce’s brother Jason as best man.

"Despite the number of people, she really made a point of greeting guests throughout the celebration and made everybody feel so welcome," the source said.

"Taylor and Travis spent so much time together in the months leading up to the wedding, and they were pretty much inseparable. Now they’re settling into this new rhythm as a married couple and really enjoying what that feels like," another source added.

Kelce later described the wedding as the "best night of my life" in an interview with reporters. The couple plans to split their time between several properties across the country, with Kelce’s Kansas home serving as a primary residence during the football season.
