Reliance Industries tops NSE Margin Trading Facility after 60% exposure surge
Livemint reported that Reliance Industries' exposure in the NSE's Margin Trading Facility rose 60% to ₹4,711 crore, overtaking HDFC Bank and sparking a sharp rally in its shares. The surge came after the conglomerate posted a July-September quarter profit that jumped 41% year-on-year, prompting the stock to climb about 12% in a single day, the biggest gain since April 2020, according to The Economic Times. Moneycontrol noted an early-trade rise of roughly 7. 5% as the earnings beat expectations.
The same results lifted Mukesh Ambani's personal fortune by $8. 5 billion, placing him among the world’s wealthiest. Earlier in the year, The Economic Times said Reliance's shares had fallen about 26% while investors awaited the September-quarter results.
