Mariners narrow manager search to Espada and Kanzler after Baldelli exits
The Seattle Mariners scheduled in-person interviews in Seattle with former Astros manager Joe Espada and Cubs director of player development Jason Kanzler, narrowing the club’s managerial search to those two candidates. Earlier, former Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli withdrew from consideration for the vacant head-coach role, saying family considerations were the primary factor, leaving Espada and Kanzler as the remaining prospects.
