Heidi Klum Appears as Severed Hand at 25th Anniversary Halloween Party
Heidi Klum attended her annual New York City Halloween celebration dressed as a severed hand, marking the event's 25th anniversary.
Heidi Klum arrived at her annual New York City Halloween party dressed as a severed hand, a costume that featured a bloody wrist, her head positioned at the center of the hand and manicured fingers with rings. The costume was delivered to the venue on a truck marked with red “danger” signs and was assisted by actors in yellow hazmat suits.
The event, held at the Cathédrale Restaurant in the Moxy East Village and presented by Apothic and Butterfinger, marked the 25th anniversary of Klum's Halloween celebration, which has become a notable fixture of the season. Klum, who has previously portrayed characters such as Medusa, E.T., a peacock, Fiona from Shrek, Jessica Rabbit and a worm, teased the look on Instagram and invited followers to guess her costume.
"This costume this year is one of the most elaborate costumes ever made. It’s so difficult to do and the complication of it is really challenging," said makeup designer Mike Marino, who collaborated with Klum on the look.
Klum also promoted a limited-edition Apothic x Heidi Klum Type ‘A’ Blood Bag collectible, created in partnership with Apothic Wines and inspired by the party's blood-bag themed décor. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, was not in attendance.
