Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg posts 31-12-6 stat line
Yaxel Lendeborg posted 31 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in his fourth NBA appearance, making him only the third Golden State rookie to record such a stat line, joining franchise legends Rick Barry and Wilt Chamberlain, NBC Sports Bay Area reported. The game marked his fourth career appearance. Lendeborg entered the league four games earlier, scoring 12 points while defending Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić, an exchange that resulted in a technical foul during a 127-105 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN reported.
Former Mavericks teammate Naji Marshall later warned him on social media about the confrontation, NBC Sports Bay Area noted. The rookie said he would continue his on-court banter with Dončić and said he had the backing of coach Steve Kerr and teammate Draymond Green, Yahoo Sports said.
