United Airlines CEO criticized for advocating wealth and inheritance taxes
United Airlines chief Scott Kirby drew criticism for supporting a national wealth tax and near-100 % inheritance taxes, and a Justice Department official responded by commenting on the airline’s in-flight Wi-Fi, Fox Business reported. Kirby had earlier defended premium-seat pricing and his own fiscal-year 2025 compensation of about $32.3 million, saying a wealth tax and inheritance taxes approaching 100 % were necessary to address growing income disparity, according to a New York Times interview cited by One Mile at a Time and a Fortune report.
