Chick-fil-A CEO Avoids Answer on LGBTQ Stance in NBC Interview
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Chick-fil-A CEO Andrew Cathy declined to state the company's position on LGBTQ rights during his first televised interview with NBC, prompting criticism from public figures. NBC News reported that the privately held chain posted nearly $24 billion in revenue last year and has recently opened locations in the United Kingdom and Singapore.
Earlier, TODAY. com noted that Cathy emphasized the company's focus on hospitality and a charitable shift toward education, homelessness and hunger, while The Independent said he stressed that Chick-fil-A serves all customers without commenting on past LGBTQ disputes.
