Jaime Pressly defends Mom cast after Chuck Lorre memoir criticism
Jaime Pressly defended the Mom ensemble, praising her former co-stars, after Chuck Lorre’s memoir highlighted his early doubts about casting Anna Faris. Pressly told Deadline that she remains proud of the show’s cast despite the creator’s recent comments.
In his memoir, Chuck Lorre wrote that he was hesitant to cast Faris and that her departure after six seasons confirmed his concerns, a point reported by Page Six and The Daily Beast. Anna Faris later posted on Instagram that she is grateful for her time on Mom, announced an 18-month period of sobriety, and said Lorre’s remarks hurt her, as covered by Deadline, TVLine, USA Today and The Cut.
