Rockstar releases GTA VI trailer, confirms November 19 launch and fixes animation glitches
In Tokyo, Rockstar Games released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and Digital Foundry noted that the long-standing animation pacing glitches seen in earlier titles were absent, suggesting the issue has been resolved. The trailer confirmed a November 19, 2026 release and detailed pricing for standard and Ultimate editions, as announced by Rockstar Games. Co-studio lead Rob Nelson had earlier reaffirmed the November 19 launch date to Famitsu.
Rockstar also said the PC version is slated for the first quarter of 2027, a few months after the console debut. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier highlighted that the game, the most expensive ever made, underwent an eight-year development cycle and a design shift toward realism with advanced AI-driven NPCs.
