Apple's HomeView Smart Display Comes in Two $299 Variants with Different Mounting Options
Apple's HomeView smart display is offered in a wall-mountable model and a standalone speaker base model, both priced at $299, though additional mounting hardware for the wall version adds extra cost.
Apple is selling two versions of its HomeView smart display, each priced at $299. One model is designed for wall mounting, while the other includes a speaker base for tabletop use. The wall-mountable version requires separate mounting hardware, which starts at $60, and Apple lists three mounting options: a USB-C mount for $59.95, an AC-wired mount for $79.95 that needs professional installation, and a Power-over-Ethernet mount priced at $129.95 that is not yet available.
The wall-mounted display is limited to silver or space-gray finishes, whereas the speaker-base version is also offered in starlight and rose pink. Both devices feature two custom full-range drivers, but the speaker-base model adds a down-firing woofer and two passive radiators, components not included in the wall-mounted version. Apple says the wall-mounted model uses computational audio tuned for on-wall placement.
The HomeView is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled to ship on November 13.
