Patriots weigh A.J. Brown's status ahead of Jets matchup

Resumen

New England coach Mike Vrabel said the team will decide on A.J. Brown's participation after evaluating his practice performance, while several other players remain listed as questionable.

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said the decision on wide receiver A.J. Brown's availability for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets will be made after practice tomorrow. Brown, who is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, must be activated to the 53-man roster if he is cleared to play.

"We won't make that decision until tomorrow, so we'll have to see how he responds from practice today and then go from there," Vrabel told reporters. "I think he looks OK, like everybody. Some good plays, some bad plays. We're trying to see where his conditioning level is and see how he may feel here after practice today."

Running back TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) and offensive tackle Will Campbell (knee) are also listed as questionable after limited practice participation, and Vrabel indicated they will be evaluated similarly.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) has been removed from the injury report and is expected to play, while cornerbacks Carlton Davis (neck) and Karon Prunty (hamstring) are ruled out. Additional players listed as questionable include offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, cornerback Channing Canada, linebacker Christian Elliss, and safety Craig Woodson. Several others, such as defensive tackle Cory Durden, safety Kevin Byard, linebacker Dre'Mont Jones, cornerback Marcus Jones, offensive tackle Morgan Moses, cornerback Charles Woods, and quarterback Drake Maye, are cleared to play after being off the injury report.
