Sean Combs moved to low-security prison in Pennsylvania after contraband incident

Summary

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that Sean Combs was transferred to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania following a reported contraband cellphone violation and a recent head injury.

Sean Combs was transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood Low, a low-security facility in Pennsylvania, after a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson confirmed the move. The agency declined to discuss the specific reasons for the transfer, citing privacy and security concerns.

Combs, 56, had been serving a 50-month sentence at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix, New Jersey, after being convicted last summer on charges related to transportation for prostitution. His legal team had previously sought placement at Fort Dix because of its rehabilitation drug program.

According to a recent report, Combs was found with a contraband cellphone while in solitary confinement and suffered a head injury that required treatment at a nearby hospital. The Bureau of Prisons also refuted rumors that he was involved in a fight with a drug kingpin.

A spokesperson for Combs said the family had not received official confirmation of the transfer and could not comment on the circumstances. "His family and legal team remain focused on his well-being and ensuring he can maintain regular contact with those closest to him," the spokesperson said.

Earlier reporting had described Combs as having access to various prohibited items, including alcohol, medication, a tablet and a cellphone, which he allegedly used to view social media content. Following those allegations, his projected release date was extended to March 2028.
