Bureau of Prisons Refutes Reports of Fight Involving Sean Combs

Resumen

Federal officials said the alleged altercation between Sean Combs and a drug lord at Fort Dix did not occur and provided limited details about his recent hospital visit.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons said reports that Sean Combs was involved in a fight with inmate Christopher “Dudus” Coke at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix are false. The agency declined to comment on the specifics of Combs’ confinement, citing privacy, safety and security concerns, but confirmed that the alleged brawl did not happen.

Combs was taken to a local hospital early on October 10 for a head injury and returned to the prison about 12 hours later, according to officials. The Bureau of Prisons added that it has no further information to release about the incident.

"We appreciate the BOP’s clarification, which confirms our concerns about the accuracy of the initial reports," Combs’ spokesperson Juda Engelmayer told Deadline, adding that the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident have not been independently verified.

The rapper, convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, is serving a 50-month sentence and is scheduled for release on March 2, 2028. He has been placed in the Special Housing Unit, limiting his communication with the outside world, and has not used his daily call to attorneys in the past week.

Legal analysts note that Combs is pursuing an appeal while also facing multiple civil lawsuits and a potential criminal indictment in Los Angeles.
