Sean "Diddy" Combs hospitalized after head injury at federal prison
Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken to a New Jersey hospital after striking his head on a bunk bed at a low-security federal correctional institution, and his health is reported to be improving.
Sean "Diddy" Combs, 56, was transferred from the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix to a New Jersey hospital early Saturday after hitting his head on a bunk above him, according to a source familiar with the incident. The source said Combs was conscious and speaking after the injury, which was described as non-life-threatening. A representative for the Grammy-winning artist said, "> We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. > Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out."
Combs, who was sentenced in July 2025 to 50 months for two counts of transportation for prostitution, has been placed back in solitary confinement following the medical episode. His projected release date has been moved from Jan. 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028. Reports indicate he has faced disciplinary actions in prison, including loss of commissary privileges and good-time credit.
A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson declined to comment on inmate conditions at the facility, citing privacy, safety and security considerations.
