Nebraska was defeated by Indiana, moving its historical series record to 9-12-3 overall and 6-9-2 in Lincoln. Quarterback Anthony Colandrea accounted for 310 yards of total offense, combining 263 passing yards with 47 rushing yards, marking his fifth 250-plus yard game in six outings. He capped his effort with a 39-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, his second run of at least 35 yards in two games after a career-long 51-yard rush against Maryland.

Freshman running back Nyziah Hunter recorded his first rushing touchdown, a 10-yard score in the opening quarter, and posted season highs with five receptions for 43 yards. Tight end Luke Lindenmeyer matched his career-high with seven catches for 45 yards, bringing his career total to 53 receptions and placing him among the few Nebraska tight ends with 50 or more catches.

Nebraska converted 10 of 19 third-down attempts, including 8 of 11 in the first half, while limiting Indiana to a single conversion on ten tries.
