CeeDee Lamb sets Cowboys record with 17 catches in win over Texans

摘要

CeeDee Lamb recorded a franchise-record 17 receptions for 189 yards and a game-winning touchdown as Dallas beat Houston 34-30, while quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 335 yards.

Dallas rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit to defeat the Houston Texans 34-30 on Sunday. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who had six catches for 49 yards at the break, added 11 more receptions in the second half, finishing with 17 catches for 189 yards and the decisive 12-yard touchdown. The 17 receptions are the most ever by a Cowboys wide receiver in a single game, a mark previously held only by tight end Jason Witten in 2012. Lamb also became the first Cowboys player to record at least 15 catches and 175 yards in a game.

Dak Prescott completed 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards and threw the touchdown pass to Lamb. > "I just want Schotty to know that I got his back. I'm with him. I'm one of his strongest soldiers," Lamb said after the game. > "As soon as it was called, I knew it was a touchdown," Prescott added.

The victory came despite the Cowboys allowing their 11th 30-plus-point game of the 2025 season. Rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr., who returned after a contract dispute, participated in 42.3% of defensive snaps and was not targeted during his coverage assignments. Lamb’s early-season production—498 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 37 catches—places him on pace to break multiple single-season franchise records if maintained.
