Danny Trejo’s Son Says Actor Unaware of Ben Shapiro, Barred from Criticizing ‘Pawn Shop’ Film
Danny Trejo’s son said the actor had never heard of Ben Shapiro before filming the Daily Wire’s movie “Pawn Shop” and is bound by his contract not to speak negatively about the project, according to a statement reported on October 14. Earlier, Trejo posted a message asserting his support for immigrants after the film, which portrays an ICE officer, drew protests in Livingston, Montana.
Several crew members left the production after learning of its pro-ICE storyline, prompting a brief halt. The Livingston City Commission had initially voted unanimously to suspend the filming permit over safety and community-impact concerns, but lifted the suspension a few days later, describing the earlier action as a First Amendment issue.
