Eagles rule out multiple starters, including center Drew Kendall, for London game
Philadelphia will be without several key players, such as center Drew Kendall, wide receiver DeVonta Smith and running back Saquon Barkley, as they face Jacksonville in London, while backups are expected to start.
Philadelphia announced on Friday that starting center Drew Kendall will miss Sunday’s game against Jacksonville in London due to a knee injury after missing a third consecutive practice. Kendall, who took over the position in Week 2, has been a factor in the team’s recent roster moves, including the trade of Cam Jurgens to Baltimore.
With left guard Landon Dickerson also sidelined for at least another week, the Eagles plan to start two undrafted players, Willie Lampkin and Jake Majors, at left guard and center, though the exact alignment remains uncertain. Markel Bell is slated for his second career start at right tackle, filling in for retired Lane Johnson.
The injury report also listed wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) as out. Additional absences include wide receiver Hollywood Brown (ankle) and safety Marcus Epps (groin). Quarterback Jalen Hurts appeared on the report with a calf note but participated fully in practice and carries no injury designation.
All-pro safety Zack Baun, cleared after a concussion, and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, who practiced without a designation, are expected to play. Receiver Dontayvion Wicks, listed as limited with a hamstring issue, and edge rusher A.J. Epenesa, limited with a back injury, are also slated to be active. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell, offensive tackle Fred Johnson, and tight ends Dallas Goedert and E.J. Jenkins, all limited earlier in the week, participated fully in Friday’s practice and are projected to suit up against the Jaguars.
