Apple Issues New Carrier Update for iPhone 18 Pro Max on iOS 27.2 Beta

Apple has rolled out a new carrier bundle update for iPhone 18 Pro Max users on AT&T who are utilizing the iOS 27.2 beta. This update comes after the company addressed cellular service issues affecting a small number of users last week. Reports indicated that some iPhone 18 Pro Max devices were losing cellular service, rendering users unable to make calls or send texts, with the status bar displaying 'SOS'.

The previous update aimed to prevent further occurrences of this issue, but devices that had already lost service required hardware replacements. The latest carrier settings update reportedly upgrades affected devices from version 72.0.2 to 72.0.3, extending the necessary changes to those testing the beta version of iOS 27.2. Notably, this issue has been isolated to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which utilizes a Qualcomm modem, while the iPhone 18 Pro, equipped with Apple's C2 modem, has not experienced similar problems.
