Gypsy Rose Blanchard's texts with ex-fiancé Ken Urker described as routine co-parenting messages

Resumen

Newly released messages show Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker exchanged ordinary, child-focused texts in the weeks before Urker's death, contrasting with claims that he was terrified of her.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her former fiancé Ken Urker exchanged a series of text messages in the weeks before Urker was found dead on Oct. 1. According to sources familiar with the communications, the messages were largely limited to matters concerning their one-year-old daughter Aurora and did not contain flirtatious or confrontational language.

One source told Page Six that the exchanges were "just normal — basically all about Aurora" and described the tone as "co-parent level," noting that the texts focused on routine topics such as daily activities and the child's well-being. A second source said the pair had amicably agreed a month earlier to give each other space after ending their romantic relationship.

Blanchard, who first met Urker while incarcerated in 2017, has said she stopped any flirtatious contact out of respect for his mental health. > "I don’t know if it was intentional or not. He was not in a good state of mind lately," she told People shortly after his death. > "I’m in disbelief. I can’t think. I’ve screamed until my throat burns."

Urker's sister, Autumn Urker, previously told the Daily Mail that her brother had expressed fear of Blanchard and believed she might not keep their daughter safe. The contrast between those statements and the reportedly routine text messages highlights ongoing uncertainty about the dynamics of their relationship. Urker, 34, had a history of mental-health struggles, and his death follows months of public scrutiny and online harassment directed at both him and Blanchard.
