Apple schedules October 13 event to unveil new Home products
Apple will hold a special event on October 13, featuring a lineup of new Home devices including an updated Apple TV 4K, a HomePad, and a second-generation HomePod mini, alongside possible co-developed accessories with LG.
Apple announced that it will host a special "Apple Experience" event on Tuesday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. ET in Tribeca, New York. The gathering, for members of the press, is expected to showcase a range of new Home-related products. A teaser video posted by senior vice president of worldwide marketing Greg Joswiak hinted at the lineup, which is believed to include an updated Apple TV 4K, a device dubbed "HomePad," and a second-generation HomePod mini. Reports also suggest that Apple may reveal co-developed home accessories created in partnership with LG. The company has not confirmed whether a full-length product video will be streamed online at the same time.
"We’re excited to welcome everyone to the Apple Experience and share the next generation of our Home ecosystem," Joswiak said in the video.
The event follows a similar press-only showcase held earlier this year for the MacBook Neo launch. Apple has not disclosed further details about the products or pricing.
