Samsung Begins Global Rollout of Android 17-Based One UI 9 for Galaxy S26 and Other Models
Samsung has started distributing the stable Android 17 (One UI 9) update to Galaxy S26 devices worldwide, with additional models slated for staggered releases in the coming days.
Samsung is now delivering the stable Android 17-based One UI 9 update to Galaxy S26 smartphones across multiple regions, including the United States, South Korea, Europe, and India. The rollout follows testing that began in May and a July launch of the update on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8.
The 4 GB update has already appeared on a Galaxy S26 Ultra in Canada, according to 9to5Google author Daniel Bader. Samsung’s rollout also extends to other devices in a phased manner, with early stable builds reaching the Galaxy S25 series (including FE and Edge variants), Galaxy Z TriFold, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and its FE model, primarily for users who participated in the beta program.
Industry observers expect the distribution to continue expanding over the next several days as Samsung completes the update for its broader lineup.
