Police report details findings at AEW wrestler Pac's death scene in Illinois

摘要

Authorities said the 40-year-old wrestler was found deceased in a rental car at a Des Plaines restaurant parking lot, noting saliva on his shirt and undisclosed medication in the vehicle.

Des Plaines police discovered the body of professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, in a rental car parked outside a CAVA restaurant on September 27 at about 4 p.m. An officer noted that saliva was present on the front of his shirt and that medication, the type of which was redacted, was found inside the car. A search of his pockets and backpack yielded no additional items.

The officer also reported that the wrestler's cellphone was still displaying Google Maps, routing him to O’Hare Airport. The phone had been active, and a woman on the line said she last spoke with Satterley at 1:20 p.m., when he mentioned he was heading to CAVA for lunch. She added that his flight back to the United Kingdom had been delayed and was scheduled for around 3:30 p.m.

Police found no obvious injuries or suspicious circumstances inside the vehicle. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said a cause of death will be determined after further testing following an initial autopsy. Satterley had competed in an AEW match in Chicago the night before his death. He was 40 years old.
